BAUGHaus Design Studio
BAUGHaus Design Studio is comprised of design-makers of Jamaican hand-made ceramics, lighting, furniture and soft goods for the home. Our studio is located in Westmoreland, Jamaica where our small team spends its days dreaming up designs that are infused with Caribbean ‘roots & culture’, nature and other forms of design.
Born into a creative family, Dana Baugh completed her studies at Parson’s School the New School for Design in New York City before returning to her island home of Jamaica. In 2012, she launched BAUGHaus Design Studio in pursuit of her dream to create beautiful objets d’Art and inspire others to live beautiful lives.
Dana creates products that are a reflection of “Brand Jamaica” values by targeting the premium interiors and product design markets with what she describes as her Jamaican perspective on ‘tropical modern’ design. “We are the Original creators of the bamboo veneer laser-cut Urchin pendant light and the ITAL dinnerware collection inspired by gourd shapes used in Rastafarian cuisine” says Dana. Defined by simple shapes, the line marries traditional local materials such as Jamaican wood, clay and shell with the crisp natural beauty of ‘very white’ porcelain and colours of the Tropics. “We love sharing our design perspective and hope that our customers enjoy our products as much as we love making them!”
Explore BAUGHaus products through materials such as acrylic, aluminium, concrete, felt, glass, Jamaican marble, jamaican red clay, Jamaican wood, pebbles, porcelain, recycled paper and veneer.
